Landscaping and Back Deck Renovation
With two boys who are finally old enough to not want to destroy every shred of grass, deck and fence in sight, we decided that it was time to make our backyard into a space that my husband and I can enjoy now. Having virtually no experience in design or landscaping, we relied heavily on James' expertise and that was the best decision we made. We could tell that he really loved working on the landscaping piece (he really knows his plants!) and he came up with some great solutions for us around how to structure the new deck and stairs. He kept us on track, on budget and when he said ‘my guys will be there’, they were…every time.
Now, when I look out onto our backyard I am no longer silently sobbing into my coffee mug at the sight of a child-created war zone - I am crying tears of joy.

Bathroom Renovation Upgrade
We hired J Murphy’s to completely renovate our master bathroom based on online reviews and photos. Throughout the process we found James to be open, honest and quick to respond to questions and concerns. Mike and Darren spent a great deal of time in my home and were always kind, respectful, and did quality work. They kept the work area clean and put out drop cloths daily. With any renovation, sometimes delays or unexpected things can come up. We had a couple of small issues and James with his crew were quick to remedy them. I’m very happy with my beautiful bathroom and would definitely recommend them.

I hired James and his crew a year ago to complete work in my kitchen and two bathrooms. As a single woman living alone who had never hired a contractor before, I did a lot of research and interviewed quite a few contractors before deciding to hire James. From the beginning I found him to be easy to communicate with, took my concerns regarding the project seriously and was very competitive in his fees and completed the project early. The quality of the work was excellent and I haven’t had one problem since the work was completed. I highly recommend James and his team - I would not consider hiring anyone else.

Don and I want to thank you and your team; Jeff, Mike and Carlos for your hard work. The fence is amazing, the new door and frame make our home more secure and the bathroom fan and ceiling are wonderful. It’s amazing how small (and not so small) updates on our home feel so good.
